I am taking a welding class at the Technical College here. I have 4 years until I am eligible to retire from the Marines and finally started going to school, pursuing an Engineering degree.

The first night was 2 weeks ago. I was unaware of the missing teeth requirement, or the two first name requirement, but that's ok. Nice enough guys.

The instructor was explaining the types of filler rod used when welding plastic (I never knew you could weld plastic either). What I am about to explain is exactly how it happened that night:

"The first type of rod we have is round." He proceeded to draw a round, solid circle on the board and spelled out the word round.

He then drew a quarter moon and then another one underneath it. "The next type we have is oval." He wrote the name like this next to the picture: ovel. I thought to myself, "Ok, you don't have to be a world class speller to teach welding. Especially to these guys."

He then drew the half moon again, except this time he made a point on the bottom, almost like drawing the old Rat Bones (tm) from Powell Peralta days. He then said, "Here we have triangular." He went towards the board as if to write the word triangular. There was a slight pause as he got about 2 inches from the board......"and the next type of filler rod we have is ribbon."

It's going to be an interesting class.

close to striking a book deal (to be honest it is only a grand) about: credit cards, mortgage debt consolidation online banking car insurance refinance loans & bad credit... the book will be a series of stories focusing on partly dream, partly a rumination on the effects of memory, this haunting cycle of interconnected flashbacks links fantasy and "reality" in unsettling and unforgettable ways. most of you will know this as ordinary life but for some reason publishers think it is "BRILLIANT" of course i am poor and lazy and will most likely just post them here on wrldmrine.

New revelations on music: It seems almost inevitable that, with Elvis, and Jerry lee Lewis then later with the Beatles, Bob Dylan, moving forward... rap, RUN DMC, Eric b and rakim, that eventually the most pure form of “rock” or being punk and original of urban flight would be some where along the line, this weird country rap mix, this sort of, “hey it is alright, the things that happened between me and you, it’s cutting edge” the truth is, don’t go this way, the same way that most black actors go when they chose comedy as the path of least resistance, what I am saying is, you are still a sambo sell out. Be punk and stay true, the time of being white is over by far, I mean think about what we watch, “NFL” “Dave Chappell” what we listen to, from eight grade and on, “NWA,” 2LIVE,” and so on and so on... please don’t sell out to these country music singers just because it seems punk because believe me, they want to lock one in for the working man and shot you dead dead dead. please dont do the country music thing! music will be ruined for ever, not white music, but true punk/hip hop/real/ music, the only music we listen to. you hold all the cards.

probably the most original thing i have ever done in my whole life was collect powell peralta ads from thrasher and transworld skateboarding magazines. i have no idea why i was attracted to these adverts, but i was and by the time i was in eight grade (1988) my entire room was covered head to toe with these ads. check a few of them out http://powellclassic.com/ads_pc_main.html
